I doubt that it was donated back to CMP as all the SA Collector Grades I checked had the data sheets...in small zip lock bags...under the butt plate.
Gordon,

There are rifles appearing regularly on the CMP auction site and from earlier CMP SG sales that were logged in from the Army 20 years ago.

Thank you Dave! Was more surprised that a rifle that was graded almost 10 years ago was still available for this release and had not made it to auction or the store racks before this point. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful that it didn't....

yes mine (collector grade SA) was also inspected on 3/07. has anyone picked up a HRA and found the armor's paperwork somewhere else in the stock (we checked each one saturday and none were in the buttstock) and that cause me NOT to buy an HRA...simply because of perceived lower value with no documentation beyond the "certificate"

Do buyers actually care whether the rifle comes with the Armorer's notes? I always thought the certificate was provenance enough.

Collector grade rifles are supposed to include a completed data sheet, which is what they are talking about. I could understand not having that document causing a buyer to question the authenticity of the certificate.
