Saw the post above about a price increase, went to check some bayonets I was going to purchase, looks like CMP has implemented an across the board price increase on the e-store. M7 bayonets were $40, now $42. M1 garand bayonets were $55, now $58.

Here's the scoop on the dates. The contract was issued by DAAA06 (An Army contracting office, I forget where it's located) and issued in 1991. Note the DAAA06 which is the abbreviation for the contracting office. The actual contract number was C-6676. So, then look at the bottom line on the label. It reads 1 Ea and 6/30/92 which was the date the item was actually packaged. One per package.

Same as last years ten: Paper wrapped and sealed in plastic. The interesting thing was that all ten were delivered in what was virtually a block. I don't think that the ten individual magazine packages had ever had been pulled apart or separated since being wrapped. They appeared to have been stored stacked together for a long time. 25 years? Who knows?

It will be interesting to see how much longer the supply holds out.

I went through some I got last year and found like others - very dry but didn't really find much rust. Mine were in plastic bags and brown wrappers.

I guess better safe than sorry.

I ordered ten on Wednesday evening (last night!), and this morning (Thursday) received a Fedex ship notice. Delivery scheduled for Monday. I don't know of very many companies outside of Midway that could ship that quickly. Tip o' the hat to CMP!

Edit: Received the mags today, Monday, all dated 10/24/1988 and dry wrapped in VCI paper. I opened three and absolutely perfect so I'll leave the rest wrapped and sealed. So 5 days from order to receipt including a weekend.
