Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, members of our Great Armed Forces, Law Enforcement people and especially our Medical and Emergency personnel in these trying times. ( We have a daughter who is a NICU nurse 😊.)

Stay safe and healthy.

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to join with friends and family and celebrate all we have for which to be thankful. It is well to remember that the original settler thanksgiving celebrations (and there were many throughout the year) gave thanks that at least some of them were still alive!

This year has presented us with challenges we could not have imagined a year ago. Challenges of illness and death, political mayhem, economic hardship, social disruption. I am reminded that my parents survived the great depression and World War II, fifteen years of hardship, privation, and death, and were stronger for it.

So when things look grim, remind yourself that we still have life, and each other. Do something good for someone who really needs it, and is not expecting any help.

We will persevere, and be stronger for this. We have our faith(s), we have each other, and we have the precious gift of freedom.

Many of us (myself included) cannot physically join with those who mean the most to us. Make the best of what you have, and remember that this will pass. We will persevere, and be stronger.

Happy Thanksgiving!
