Looks to me like the out side rim of the bolt head is hitting .Bolt heads are available so if it was me i would file some of that out side rim off and see if it closes more .If so keep removing some untill it closes all the way with out rubbing marker off . Arnie

Although it is more difficult, it is better to remove metal from the consumable piece (the barrel) instead of the piece that will remain after the next rebarreling (the bolt.)

Nice job Larry. And as others said, a lathe is handy. Two even more so, unless you forget what you were doing.
