No I had to use a longer screw. If remember correctly I swapped with one of the buttplate screws.

I copied TJTORBORG's sling swivel attachment idea from a AR/M1 sling swivel on my UBR and like it. (as in your picture at your post)

I am at holiday gatherings at the moment but can send you the screw I bought (I always get extra) and used to replace the one I removed as it was too short and send it to you if you wish? Same head style and everything, just longer, I think a 1/4".
My pleasure.
PM if interested and will shoot it out to you.
Merry Christmas.

Very much appreciated and that's what I love about the shooting community always willing to help another! However, I was able to locate a screw on EBAY and it should be in the mail and to the house early this week!

Thanks again - hope you had a great Christmas!

web sling for offhand with a GrovTec QD mounted right side. Quick change over to leather sling if I get done early in offhand for sitting.

This is what I did, cost .23 cents for 1/2 key ring and 5-10 min labor.
Like everyone who has been putting AR SR's together for a few yrs I have a bunch of sling loops removed from front A2 sight bases. Added 1/8 roll pin to keep it at bottom of slot.

I used a D-ring. Twist (don't pull) it open, install on stock, twist it closed.
