m 84 scope question

I'd like to mount a M84 into vintage 7/8 Redfield top split rings .Can I open my M84 to slide into the rings,Without harming,changing anything in the scope.

Or is there other split side rings in Vintage 7/8 Redfield configuration .
Instructions would be great.

Please list any problems that may arise.
