Science is 90% sure we can travel thru time. The only problem is that it is a one way trip. And only back in time. So all firearms could end up in the past but would only come forward at the normal rate. That could really mess up history if the losers in a war ended up with weapons that would change the results and make them winners. Can you imagine if a person flew an A-10 Warthog to wartime Japan for the Japanese.

Henry Fonda movie, pre-Revolutionary War (edit: 'Drums Along the Mohawk'), all are equipped with Model 1816's.

Was watching an old Gene Autry movie a few years ago. Gene asks an Indian which way some bad guys went, and the Indian points. You couldn't actually tell what time his wristwatch said, but it looked like a nice one.

In Twilight Zone episode "Showdown with Rance McGrew" (old West era), a jet contrail is visible in one scene. In another scene same episode, I swear I hear a Lycoming overhead...

I don't have to watch TV or movies to jump out of the chair for some historical SNAFU.

I got it right from the horses mouth...my grand daughter, 8th grader peering into the gun safe, out of the blue says to me: "Grand Daddy, were you in World War I ?" I nearly choked.

"Come here kid, sit down and take this in : No, both your great great grand fathers were in WWI, your great grand father was in WWII and Korea and your grand father was in Viet Nam ".

"What is Viet Nam?"

Jezzzzzzzzz, it would have been simpler to just say I was in WWI.

Objective Burma has been running this week on TCM. Errol Flynn is packing a M1A1, but I swear...one time he stepped out into a clearing holding an M1 or M2. The prop-guy can't remember Errol's preferred gun.

My Great-Great-Grandpappy was killed at the Battle of the Wilderness in the Civil War.
Of course my dad always pointed to his appendix scar and said it was a bayonet wound from a Redcoat during the Revolution.
Gotta make sure your kids are wise enough to "get it" when you start "spinning yarns".

Its an excellent show - but they skimp on set pieces.

There is a wood box, you can see it says "Lane'' on the inside which is something from the 60's or 70's and they have shown it on several occasions. But its still a good show IMHO...

And I've seen German soldiers firing an M1 carbine and Thompson machine guns. Even saw a WWII American GI firing an old flintlock.
Also irks me when they reverse film and show oprods and bolts on left side.
Makes me wonder how accurate the story they tell in these episodes.

Best one I've ever seen was a gas cylinder in Charleton Heston's chariot in 'Ben Hur'.

Nitrous Oxide comes to mind, for horsepower boost (he did win, didn't he? ). Is MLRS gas-powered?

Google long enough; image will come up...

ed.: can't find it; but looks like the bad guy was cheating too
