Default A quanity of WW-2 -30-06 ammo?

Hi Fellows,

A fellow, I know, asked me about a quantity of 30-06 ammo his grad-dad had! He knows I shoot 30-06 & like older firearms.

I looked through it, seems to run from 1933 thru the WW-2 war years & some 1952 ammo.
There seems to be some mixed armor piercing & a few tracers in the bunch.

There are NO card board BOX'S! He has no idea of where this ammo has been stored. I'll get a few rounds & break them down, to see what the powder looks like. -- IF there is any interest--

It is tarnished ammo, no sign of corrosion at the bullet ot primer.

It's all loose ammo! I'm sure it's almost all corrosive primed!

Do you think it's worth sorting by manufacturer & or year for serious collectors & what would be the correct place to try to sell it off?

Thanks for any help,
broom

I'd just shoot it.

M1 ball was replaced by M2 ball for rifles in 1938, so you will have some M1 ball.
