Default Is this a LEAD stamp

or is it something else?

Yes it is. There should be a non-serif P approximately 5/16" tall and 3/16" wide on the grip.

Thanks. I had thought it was but never personally seen such a crisp one so was not sure.
I can't recall if the P was non-serif or not ,would need to re-check , there was 2 P marks but the one was so very faint.
Also on the left side there is a very faint cartouche , small and square in shape is all you can really make out and it reminds me of the DAS stamp on a HRA but due to a total lack of any back porch I was thinking it could not be a HRA stock

All HRA stocks do not have the large back porch. I have a 4.7 series correct HRA that has the 3/8 DAS with virtually no back porch.
