I agree with Bullet.

Beyond all hope, but since I'm in such a good mood today you can send it to me and I will dispose of it for you

Nice catch

What I used is Kenneth Cole Leather Care to clean and soften the leather and Kenneth Cole Shoe, Handbag, & Apparel Spray to protect and waterproof it. I got a dozen bottles of each a year or so ago for something like $1/bottle (they were discontinuing it) allegedly for my girlfriend's shoes and purses, but I've been using it on my leather furniture and car interior and it's worked very well. I think saddle soap would work as well (or even better), but this is all I had on hand.

You've convinced me, thanks for taking it off my hands! I'll get it out to you on Monday, for the price of postage.

Of course the postage is gonna be pretty expensive...

I added a couple "after" photos to the album. Lots and lots of degreasing, 3 coats of BLO followed by 3 coats of 1/3 mix for the wood, leather cleaner and conditioner for the cheekpiece, and a shiny new Inland magazine to complete the package.

It looks MUCH better now.
