Default 1917 NS Purchase

I purchased this 1917 along with a 1903. I was able to get a morning appointment for the 1st Friday they were opened. I knew very little about 1917ís and Bob was very helpful in helping me select one. Itís a Service grade Eddystone. Itís a mixture of Eddystone and Winchester parts.

I believe the stock is a Winchester. On the front end of the stock Their looks to be a very faint W. I have cleaned it very lightly and the wood has a nice looking grain to it. One of the hand guards is also W marked. It also has the mysterious 3GM-K marking.

The metal is also a mixture of Eddystone and Winchester parts.

If thereís anything else of interest I would like to hear it. I really like this 1917 and I also think the stock will look pretty good after a little cleaning and refresh.

The hang tag was marked Bright Bore and the readings were Muzzle 1 Throat 2+. I ran a few patches through it and they were coming out clean after 5 patches.
