Default WRA Finish

What was the original finish on early (1942) Winchester M1s? I recently got one from CMP that has a very nice blue-ish finish, looks like new.

I am no expert, but weren't some finished with Dulite, which I think is more of a Black Oxide/hot blue?

Winchester started the Educational Order production in Dec 1940, they used the DuLite finish during 1941, because they did not do parkerizing until 1942

Default Probably

But I've changed computers so many times some files are no longer saved. I do have one downstairs I'm going to take out of storage box and extract photo files. May be there. Also owned WRA 1330000 but that one is another story. The 1.2 Mil in the photo is an interesting rifle. Working on that one for an article for the Journal. Currently going over the Pugsley papers Bruce published for more info and possible answers to my questions concerning this rifle. Advanced collectors too, so be prepared
