Default anybody have the list of the rarest carbine variants?

i know i've seen it here but i've searched and searched to no avail

i'm not talking about manufacturers but things like lineouts, springtube receivers not on QH, etc...

also, does anybody track IP prices? i'd be very curious to know what they're bringing nowadays

J. B. Powers made a list in one of the CC NLs, # 369.

You didn't pay too much for it. I'd be curious to know if it has the tiny import stamp on the bottom of the barrel when you get it delivered.

nothing gets past this forum!

i couldn't buy it now soon enough, the last mixmaster i paid attention to selling went for around $2500 but that's been about a year ago, which is why i was curious about current pricing

description called it a DCM gun so if that's not BS i should be safe from an import mark

we'll see, in my mind that was CHEAP to complete my manufacturers. everybody interested in collecting the whole set might want to jump now if IP prices have really fallen that far

The IP before this one was 1599 with tiny import mark about a month ago, I think. So if there's no import mark on yours, it's nicer than that on.

How about WW2 issue in brand new unfired condition with original papers and parts/accessories. That would be the rarest variant!

Poke around here. Jim Mock is kinda an expert on the G.I. carbine.

And while you are at it, check in here. This is the old Carbine Club, now defunct and now on line as the Carbine Collectors Club. Lots of knowledge around those two sites.

A few months ago an IP was on GB. The only part IP was the receiver. It went for $3250. A complete (put together) sold on Invaluable for $5500, plus premium.

I saw that when it came up, literally one minute after it
was listed. I thought about it, looked like a solid rebuild, I'm probably one of the few with carbine sickness on here that is not into IP's. I think it was a fair price, I almost pushed the button, thought I could trade it to someone on here for stuff I would want. Got the January lazy blues and didn't feel like dealing with it, I know unjustified reason not to buy a carbine☺. I think you did pretty good on it.
