Default Eddystone Barrel ?

NEED INFO PLZ - My JUST received Eddystone (service grade) has no date at the front sight .....it just has the flaming bomb and H-S with the proof p nearer the stock.

PS....the metal finish is in worse shape than the painted ceremonial I got two weeks ago. Guess painting DOES pay off

Pics to follow later (gotta get to work)

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

High Standard barrels are usually highly accurate. You should have a great shooter. I have an early WW2 Remington 03 and is is super accurate with it's HS barrel.

Thanks guys......replacement barrel eh......well, there is plenty of 'rust' in her but.......lets hope it is in better shape than my 'ceremonial'....which CONTINUES to show 'blue' (all rust gone now) with Wipeout (after over 400 swabs )

She does have a R bolt but the rest of her appears to be E. Stock is UNMARKED (other than a few single #'s as expected on her underside). No block BGM-K like other.

No range time till after Thanksgiving. Got vacation time to use or loose. Pics MAYBE tonight.

I have replacement HS barrels on both a 1903 and a 1911 and they're excellent shooters... so is the original barrel on my HS Model B.

Default RE High Standard on 1917 Eddystone

HS barrel IS awesome as stated. I hit the range today and got 1" groups at 50' and 100' [10 shots each] (I know....doesn't prove much that short a distance but....)

150' she did open the group up a little (me tired?, barrel getting hot?, poor eyes? - who cares....she shoots better than the earlier one I got (ceremonial).

Keeper here.......

OH.....Happy Veterans Day to you dudes who have served.
