Default Lyman 48 on fleabay

Not mine, but it would already be, if work hadn't been so slow recently. Hope it finds its way on to a classy old sporter.

Nice sight. It has the fold down aperture.

Third variation Lyman 48 sight that did not require notching the stock. Has hunting knobs instead of target knobs, but unfortunately, you cannot tell which elevation scale is in it.

I believe the OP is referring to the closed auction for an earlier style Lyman 48. If you click on the "original item" link you'll see it. A nice sight, but more than I would be willing to pay for one.

My bad! You are correct, I did reference the wrong sight.

That indeed is a nice first variant Lyman 48S for a 1903 sporter or NM. Price is a bit high, but they are getting hard to find. I definitely would only pay that price if the assembly numbers matched.
