I will stop by the store today prior to closing and give an honest report on condition.

Default Friday opening report

There were two customers at opening and the racks were full.

There has been a recent shift of personnel from the sales and armory so it looks like the 1911 section is ready to stand up with all parts in place I think for MONDAY 👍👍

I have confirmed that we should start to see some USGI stocks in the not to distant future from the Philippino rifle return and some should have cartouches. I think they will first show up in mail order before the store. I have seen enough hackberry to last me a lifetime!!!

Armors today, Mike, Bridget and Austin.

CMP SA Specials 6, CMP Field Specials .308, 2 SA and 2 HRA both 471xxxx.

SA 6 million, 3, all 609xxxx.

IHC SG 11, FG 29

WRA SG 4, FG 1

SA RG 1

1/4 cotton slings and full small box en blocs.

Good luck on your searches.

The Field Special condition is very nice, reparked with CMP stamped stocks. But they are Field because there is more corrosion below stock mainly which has been cleaned and reparked but present. Overall very nice.

I bought one of the .308 Specials last week. I wouldn't have even noticed the tiniest amount of pitting if I hadn't asked why they were $200 less than the 30.06. Another of the .308's was an HRA and the heal was so worn the serial number and markings were barely visible. It will probably be there a while. It pays to take your time and go to the counter and pull one down to see what you have...I've applied 2 coats of Chestnut Ridge military stock stain and 2 coats of tung oil finish, then 4 ought steel wool. Came out just fantastic. With the new barrels and CMP walnut stocks I don't think you could build one of these for the $850 they are asking (plus 10% tax).
