Default Date and Signature on FFL

I am planning on using a copy of the signed 01 License from my FFL that I was given some time ago for other purchases/transfers. The signature is dated 11/15/16, with the license expiring 12/1/2019. Of course, being a copy, the license does not carry an original signature.

Will this be adequate, or do I need to get a more recently dated license with an original signature?

Thank You.

I don't know why you would need an "original" signature. After all, an FFL that has been e-mailed or faxed won't have one -- just a copy of the holders signature.

So long as the FFL is still in business and is current you should be good to go.

When buying a firearm back when I had an 03 FFL, some folks wanted a copy with an original signature in contrasting ink, say blue or red. Just making sure. Thanks to CMP 1911 for answering on a weekend.
