Need info about this can of ammo

I'm hoping you guys can help me. I have two unopened cans of ammo that I got from my grandfather. I was told by a CMP guy that they are 5 rd stripper clips for the 1903 Springfield. I was wondering if it is possible to tell when and where they were made by the lot number listed on the can. I live near SLC, so that is why I am asking in this forum. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I have a picture but it's not letting me post it. The lot is listed as LC 39060

You should be able to get all the information you need off the can itself. Type of ammo, year, lot number, etc.

LC lot numbers in the 39000 range are fairly late. LC = Lake City.

Tell us what the stencil on the can says and we can help you.

The only information missing is the year of manufacture. Based on that lot number I would guess it was made after 1955. That leaves a lot of years, so you need to find someone who has a box or can with a lot number near yours who can tell you what the headstamp is.

Thanks for the replies. I read somewhere that Lake City only used the spam style cans until the late 50's. Would you have an idea of what these might be worth? I'm not interested in selling, it's just for my own curiosity.
