Default 55th Annual 29 Palms NRA Long Range & High Power & CMP Rifle & Pistol "LEG" (EIC) Matches

Shooters!

Occurring November 12 - 16, though you can pick and choose days of attendance, is a spectacular shoot held at the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command in Twentynine Palms, California.

Flyer copied and pasted below but if it does not read well for you, send me your e-mail and I will attach it to an e mail for you.

You are treated very well by all the Marines and though they do not promise, the past two years the Marines did all the pit duty for the Saturday and Sunday shoots.
The firing lines are state of the art with some sort of "running track" composite material at each firing point, pic attached-not the best, but the best I have- for you to see. You really don't even need a shooting mat. Very comfortable. Pic taken at the 600 yard line.

Cross posted in three places here at the CMP Forums for maximum visibility.

I'm glad they still have these matches, I was wondering about that. Use to shoot them all the time when I shot for the AK NG in the 80s. Wished I'd seen this earlier.

Maybe next year.

For INFO, these matches are some of the best run I've seen. Great ranges. Sometimes the weather can be IFFY. (cold and windy or hot and windy.

But fun matches.

Glad to see this was of use to you Kraigwy

Write me once in awhile next summer and I will let you know when the shoot is coming up next year.
I'll be there!

Last couple years the weather has been outstanding and "just right"
