I don't know what it may go for, but as far as I know this rifle is unique. There are many more lottery D's, SA and HRA unissued, matching C's, pristine LEADS, "correct grade" etc. Then again, CMP might have found a crate load of them in the US rifles they still hold. I guess we'll see.

Anybody notice the RA-P rebuild stamp on the stock just behind the receiver heel? I'm surprised that stamp escaped the rebuild process.

Not the nicest one I've seen, but it's still pretty nice. $2166 with 11 days to go...CMP will make a ton of $$ off that one.

If nothing else, this is entertaining.

Rarity doesn’t always equal monetary value. The new owner will have a time getting his money back on this one if it goes high. It’s still a rebuild no matter how nice. I like it and a beaut of a rifle regardless.

It could possibly hit this range, already over 4k.

4K for a rebuild??? I paid less than that for my dry factory 11-41 lend lease. That shows you the following the rebuilds have garnered.

Yesssss....
The “rebuilds” are arguably the last “originals”. And have rightfully clawed their way into the highly-desirable category in the eyes of many. Ultimately to each their own. Breathing new life perhaps?? Count your blessings.

You can buy a "unissued" SA Post War garand which is truly original "and" unissued for less than $4000
