Thanks for the report. Very beautiful guns.

Looks like I'm going to have to head down tomorrow and check out those 1917's.

Very Nice! I would love to order one, but Christmas wiped me out.

You won't be sorry - the 1917s looked really nice, and many of them had "good headspace" marked on the hang tags.

Thanks for the comments. There were a number of beautiful rifles still in the racks when I left this morning - if you've been thinking of picking out a Service Grade, now's the time. The selection really did remind me of the nice rifles the Store had in stock during the National Matches - high quality stuff.

I noticed after I got home that my rifles were all graded on 11/8/11 or 11/10/11. It sure didn't take long to get the shipment sent north!

I wish I could...but must work.

I cannot complain, as I got my WRA M1917 and my Nickel-Plated REM M1917 at the South Store in October. Let someone else have a crack at these.

If you go, and you are on a budget, consider a ceremonial. If it headspaces, it's probably a decent shooter. Mine has a MW of just over 2, and so far has been capable of a 4" group at 100 yards. (On a sandbag, to be sure...and after much tweaking with the front sight.) Half the price of the other '17s.

Good luck!

Took the three hour drive there today. About 30 1917s on the racks. Probably 4/5 headspaced. Several had mw less than 2. Most had good stocks.
