I picked up a mossberg sight that was real nice. Tight, too. All the sights, like the bayonets were, are in non-see-through boxes, so can't speak for any others. Those on display were nice looking, too.

It's total luck of the draw then, whether at the stores or mail order. We'll just have to wait and see what arrives?

Any of you .22 experts know what sight should go on a Rem 541? Bought one that someone scoped up...

What does the barrel have on it? Is it drilled and tapped in front or a female dovetail. Is the rear of the barrel D&T'ed for regular Rem. rear iron sight (deer hunting type)? Is the rear of the recvr. D&T'ed on the left side for a recvr. tgt. type sight?

GarandGrabber, The Remington 541X's came with Williams sights. So happens that I was at Williams yesterday. You can probably call Williams and they can supply you with the correct sights. Good luck. Rick

GarandGrabber, The rear sight on the 541X is the Williams Foolproof sight. The front sight is a Redfield Globe sight with inserts. Hope this helps. Rick

It's a 541-T but williams is on the way to where I'm going wed-thursday. Usually stop there a few times a year. Looks like I will drag her along. Good to have a firearm in Detroit anyway...At least we have a football team again.... Where you from Rickman?

The 541-T is like a Rem. 700 only in a .22 rf. The BDL had nice checkered wood like a 700 BDL and they came with a heavy barrel. Is that what you have?
