Today you would not use the new customer and instead use the free shipping.

Either way details are clearly all over site when that promotion is valid.

There is a $10 off of $100 if you use promo code 10NRA2018. Valid 5/3/18 thru 5/31/18. Give it a try.

Received 4 of the bayonets that I ordered, the 67 dated collectors pack, I have only opened one of them and it is a Conetta, I also ordered a grade 1 which came in a 71 dated box, this bayonet is also a Conetta. The big surprise was the grade 2 that I received, looks brand new, was not in a box but it is an Imperial. Still expecting a grade 3 later today.

So, tell me about the 1967....

Bayo is sealed in corrosion bag, inside box and all sealed in plastic?

Scabbard is in its separate own box and sealed in plastic?

Or how is it?
--------------------------------------------------------
Imperial? Those shouldn't have plastic handles should they? Or does it? If its plastic it would be a refurbished handle?

XM15e2s,
the 67 collectors pack was in 3 separate boxes, each bayonet was wrapped in a foil type wrapper, inside the box which was in sealed plastic. the scabbards were packed 2 to a sealed box which is also dated 67. And yes Imperial did actually make plastic handled bayonets. see Gary Cunningham's Bayo Points 3 in the link below.

Nice for the 67s 2 pack.

I wonder how the scabbards are packed for the 1969 NOS singles? I have seen and own the scabbards in boxes of 2. I wonder how they are packed when its just one?

Did the scabbard snap and the tips next to the snap turn nasty gummy green? They often do in the two packs I have opened in the past.

Nice Imperial.

Yep, the snaps were gummy green. One thing that I failed to mention was the scabbards that were in the sealed box with the collectors set have the metal USGI belt clip on them, the scabbards that came with my other bayonets do not. Also just got the 5th bayonet that I ordered, a grade 3, it also is a Conetta, the bayonet looks new, it was not in a box, there are scuffs on the grips around the screw holes and the scabbard has a couple rust spots on the top piece that bends downward. If I would have known how good the conditions of the grade 2 and 3s were before I ordered I would not have bought the collectors set. I just wanted a real bayonet for each of my 12 carbines. Just placed an order for 4 more grade 3s, using the 10NRA2018 promo code mentioned above. I consider myself lucky to have got the Imperial in the lot of bayonets that I have already received.

If you are thinking about ordering grade 3s, I’d order this week before people start to cherry pick and return the worst ones.

That green goo cleans up very easy.

But when removing the green the black often comes off and leaves brass showing.

I have tricks to clean and re-blacken(NOT PAINT) the brass as long as not too much black was removed.

I got so good at it that you can't tell any cleaning or restoring was done.

That green goo is the MRT rot coating chemical reaction over many years.
