Default Is this a Al Freeland Hand Stop?

Is this a Al Freeland Aluminum hand stop? If not a Freeland whose is it?

I can not find any marking on it unless they are under the bottom felt.

Is it a right handed version or left handed?

What era was this hand stop used? 1950's, 1960's, 1970's etc.?

I don't find a lot of comparable on the web, any idea on value?

Thanks for looking,
TW56

Looks like one Champion Choice is currently selling, I have one that I use when I shoot the heavy barrel 40xb. It fits the contour of my hand very nicely.

I have that same handstop on my XTC rifle. Pretty sure I bought it from Champion's about 20 years ago.

Thank you for the replies. I dug out a paper Champions Choice catalog as it appears their webpage is down. The current hand stop pictured in their catalog does not have a throw lever.

I think it is a right handed stop but I asked as I didn't know if there was a simple way to tell from the photographs versus how it feels between a right handed position versus a left handed position.

I believe they are closed up tighter than a drum for the COVID-19.

Here is the hand stop I have on my Kimber 82G and looks similar but textured.
I'm right handed and shoot right so the first pic is of the left side of the rifle for my support/left hand...

And the right side....

And looking down mounted...

Hope this helps....

I believe it to be for a right handed shooter. It's kinda funny trying to figure it out from a bottom pic. The side with the least angle would be the thumb side. What is the width measurement?

Appears right handed if the more open angle is for the thumb side. Plus with 80% of the country being right handed the odds are it is for a righted shooter. It came on a 40X I acquired that had the short rail slot machined wider to allow the aluminum hand stop to work with the short rail.

A few more photos.

I dug out Freeland's catalog #38 and it has the handstop listed so it may have come from Freeland's. It appears to be identical to the one from CC that I mentioned in the earlier post. There is no date on the catalog but I purchased shooting jacket, spotting scope, etc back in mid eighties from them.

In the pictures, your hand is upside down.
It should be palm up.
That is a stop for a right-handed shooter, and it fits your left hand, palm up.
