Default Extractor Plunger

I just sold a type 3 Rock-Ola bolt, stripped and it was complete. The parts had equal wear and looked to be all original. I removed the parts to send the stripped bolt and the extractor plunger's stud was broken off and missing. After some use, it would have deformed, rotated, and come out. We all know the result of this. This is about the third one like this, I have seen over the years.
Just a reminder for those who want to keep a carbine around a long time, they should have plenty of spare parts on hand. Or just buy a few extra carbines.
If you have three carbines and a part breaks on one, you have two carbines and a parts kit less one part to keep the other two running awhile.

Good advice. Pick up spares especially when they are at the right price.
[Knock on wood] In many thousands of rounds spread across different rifles I have never had a part failure. But I am prepared, even if they all go at once.
