If you can find open-cell foam, consider using that (as opposed to closed-cell). OC foam costs a little more, but it's worth it IMO. Never known of closed-cell stuff to NOT pop...

Higher-end carpet padding is also open-cell, and would take several layers to desired thickness...

Ditched the Plano Pull and Pick foam and ordered from here:


If needed, cut to shape with an electric knife.
