Default WTS M-1923 cartridge belt

WTS one mint, original ammo belt for M1 Garand , dated 1956 or 1958 ? . Made by A. REIF & CO. for the USMC . $90 shipped , payment by PAYPAL (gift) or USPS money order .

All post WW II cartridge belts made for the USMC required that they retained the pocket dividers until the end of production , while the post WW II US Army belt , deleted them . Read Armorer's Corner , Garand Cartridge Belts ,location CMP Sales

This appears to be an excellent example of a used mid 50's Garand belt. I have one just like it NOS dated '55. Goes well with the high # SA and HRA Garands, post-Korean M5 bayonets, and the plentiful NOS Ranier-Bell duel ammo pouch (slid on to back strap).
I was told that the Marines insisted on retaining the snap/strap configuration due to their continued use of the '03 and the BAR.
