Default Need Help Identifying Slide Manufacturer

I have a slide with the drawing number 7160091 and an R marking on the bottom of the slide. Can someone tell me the manufacturer of my slide?

Did you look inside the box for markings?

Inland made type V slides using that number . You should find a PI with a line under it stamped inside the body. Winchester used the same number on their type V slide and stamped a W inside the body .

The W is small and you may need a bright light to see it in all the milling marks. PI underlined is usually a lot easier to see. With the large R on the bottom, I would think your slide is an Inland.

I forgot to look inside the slide. There is a "PI" mark inside. I guess I have a Type V Inland slide (for my 1943 Underwood). Thanks for all of the responses!
