Default Remington 03A3 SOLD

Another from my collection.

This one has been sitting in my safe since I purchased it from the CMP back in May 2005. This was one of the Italian returns that were packed in grease. It has been degreased and the stock cleaned up and re-oiled. The metal looks clean but the flash shows a lot of cosmoline staining that isn't visible to the naked eye. This will clean off with acetone if desired.

Rifle appears to be all Remington with the exception of the bolt shroud which appears to be Smith Corona. The RA 8-44 2 groove barrel is obviously from a rebuild and is bright and shiny. The stock is stamped RIA for the rebuild. There are no splits, cracks or deep gouges in the stock or handguard. The last 4 digits of the rifle serial number is stamped on the right butt. The metal is in excellent condition with no rust or pitting. The bolt is electro penciled with another number. However, the bolt headspaces perfectly with GO and NO GO gauges. The rear sight windage screw is bent but does not impede the function. It rotates freely and has pronounced clicks. Rifle comes with G.I. web sling.

Rifle must ship to an FFL dealer or C&R.

Asking $850 plus shipping. Always open to offers.

If wanted post an "I'll take It" and follow up with a PM.
