High Standard Model A

Picked up a Mod. A yesterday. Serial #95XXX, can anyone here give me some info on it, like when it may have been made or anything else interesting. I can post some more pics. if that will help, just let me know.

Tried to find out info on it with little results....lots on supermatics which I own and shoot often. A guess on DOM of late 1940's.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. I posted concerning this on another web sight and received some answers. Your correct about the DOM, was told 1942 same year as my wife. BTW it handles pretty good for it's age!

This model was first shipped in 1938 .Your serial number is 1942 production.Seven thousand three hundred Model As were produced and production ended in 1942. The Model A was introduced because some buyers did not like the small grip on the Model B. This info is from Charles Petty's book, "High Standard Automatic Pistols 1932-1950"
