that it's a 1903A4, that's exactly right. The scope and rings are not original.

There was a variation used during the mid to late 1960's... Kent State protest situation... 1903A4 was mounted with Weaver K4-60B scopes... so those "streamline" Redfleld rings may be proper... pull the scope off and look at the base of the rings for the 1"-62 or 1"-64 markings...
