Default NM 1911A1 Serial research

Recently picked up a National Match 1911 with a Drake slide. My research shows this may have come through the DCM in the 60s. I see that you are limited on the date range of what you can look up. Would it be worth it to pay the fee to have the serial researched or are all those records now missing?

I'd like to know as well. I also have a NM 1911 from around 1962.

Let me check to see if our records go back that far and if they are able to confirm serial numbers from pistols.

CMP does not have any old Army records for pistols, just rifles.
