This info is great, up until the cmp custom shop and a few garand dedicated guys like DGR, Shuffs and a few others there are very few gunsmiths local to most people that will do garand work.... or can be trusted to. Thank you Larry

Default Thanks for info to fit CMP stock

Thank you for posting the info I just used it to fit a CMP stock that came with my SG SA I got last year. The trigger housing had to be yanked out of the receiver using bailing twine to unlock and then pull the thing out. OUCH!!!!!!!
I finally got around to fixing it correctly(yes I know it has been a year). Used the eight step guide with the cautions about being careful to trim in places and check. Worked great still has a very tight lock up but the trigger housing comes out and has to be slapped closed with a little force. Again thanks for the posting of the info.
