Everyone should always have some cash on hand because you never know. What if the SHTF and the ATM's and credit card machines don't work cash still does. Some years ago a guy needed cash and the banks were closed so I was able to make a very good deal on a couple of shotguns because I had a cash stash. You never know when opportunity will knock.

There was a program on T.V. a few years ago that showed mason jars buried by Jesse James in parts of Missouri. Twenty Dollar Gold pieces and Morgan Silver Dollars in various locations. Graffiti was scratched or painted on rock walls as a code. Someone did the research and armed with a laptop and metal detector found some of it. Wish I could remember the name of the show.

Mine's in the gun vault by the Garand's. If someone wants to take it, I won't stand in their way. The vault is 950 lbs empty and anchored to the floor with six 3/4" anchors. I put it in the basement and then built the walls around it.

lift with your knees.

I'm thinking about one of the James River Armory M14s.

Auto Ordnance 1911BKO. Pretty good facsimile of M1911A1.

Already spent it on a SA TRP. Expect a long wait or fail.

I got into a James River Armory 19.5" Barrel "Paratrooper" model and loveit, the Bula Defense hammer forged parts are awsome, everything is tight, took a couple range sessions for it to wear together, shoots better than I do. Mostly I just punc targets and plink. The checkmate mags are excellent too.

When first started thinking about the 1911 release and how bad I really wanted one, the M1Ds were in the South Store in January & February, and I was lucky enough to bet one of those. So, I've already busted the 1911 budget.

Default Something to help me with the wait....

Purchased at the Western Games. I really, really like it. It's not an alternative, but it should give me at least three months of being patient.
