Default 1903's at the North Store

Have they been stocking 1903s lately? North Store is closer to me than South Store and I'm thinking of making a trip if they have a decent selection of 03s.

Thanks

You just missed some 1903A3's that were put out during the National Matches. They only put out about 10 a day and unless you were the first 10 or so in line they would be gone...hot item. They are not a "normal" stocked item at either store.

To be more specific they were $670 plus 7% sales tax for a total of $716.90. I somehow got one and I wasn't going for the rack first thing. Someone would have each of the daily 1903A3's by 6 minutes after opening. One day I was there two were put back after the opening rush and I wondered over. Another guy and myself picked them up and then we exchanged them for viewing. We both bought the first one we originally had. This may have taken place 18 minutes after opening. We were lucky!

You saw Jeff W.'s 03-A3 at our last match. He bought it at the N. Store during the matches. Some of them probably a little better, some a little worse. It shot well when he tested it, even with a crap rear sight.

If you are not there in person-- can you even get a chance to own an 03?

Sure- you can buy through this forums classifieds, Gunbroker, local shop, etc.

They are not currently available through the CMP other than occasionally at the stores.

I managed to be close to the front of the line on a couple of occasions on the 2nd and 3rd of August if I remember and got hold of a couple of 03s to inspect each day and then passed them on to the next fellow behind me in line. Folks are right, gone in 20 seconds or less just like the carbines a few years ago.
I enjoy the conversations waiting in line for an hour before opening so it ends up being one of my annual destinations.
