Default M1922 M2 Markings Question

Do all M2s have the "M2" stamped on the bolt body (as viewed from the top toward the rear of the bolt)? Not talking about the NS M2 on the bolt handle.

Also, did they all get a serial number etched on the bottom of the bolt?

Thanks

All original magazines I have seen have M2 stamped on one side. My bolt is also etched with the serial.

Generally matching rifles have the serial number etched on the bottom with the number bridging the front and rear portions.

believe all M2's had the M2 on bolt handle and bolts were numbered...if they went thru the rebuild process good chance the bolt number won't match the rifle number

This one has M1922M2 on the receiver ring. All the letters and numbers look like they were applied at same time. Very low 4 digit serial is electropenciled across the 2 halves of bolt as mentioned above.
