Default From RFC post I made on M1922

I had some range time with one of my Springfield's last week. With 72 year old eyes I really need a scope to shoot longer distances than 25 yards. So I slapped a 15X Lyman on this M1922 and a homemade cheek piece and set the bench up. !00 yards, CCI SV, 25 shots, 24 10's and a 9. I always seem to have one flyer! Bob

Not bad looking rifle. Love the scope too.
I gave up on cheap "plinking ammo", and use CCI SV for everything now. It's not match ammo, but is very consistent.
Enjoy the heck out of that M1922!

I frequent RFC also. Great looking for 100 yards. I still mostly use CCI SV and SKS Plus. I have one 10/22 that Randy (CPC) has made into my most accurate at 50 yards.

That is a VERY NICE LOOKING 1922 !!

Default +1 for CCI SV Ammo.................

I shoot mostly CCI Std. Velocity in my two custom .22RF Sporters a pre A Winchester M/52 and a Springfield 1922 M2. From the bench @ 50yds. both rifles will put 50rds. into one ragged hole with seldom if ever a flier, CCI is very consistent in that regard. It is plenty good enough for me and I don't even bother with the premium priced match ammo.
