Clip latch - "A" marked with gray park that is consistent with receiver

Barrel - WRA barrel in the white, with sideways "F" and upside down "7", along with a punch mark and the P over W logo. Haven't checked under the handguard yet. Hang-tag readings of M.E.=1+ (~1.75) and T.E.=2+ (Just under 3) were confirmed with personal gauges.

Trigger group - D28290-8-SA housing, C46008-8 SA hammer

Op rod - D6535382 IHC

Rear sight - Beretta "PB" marked windage, Frazier Manufacturing Co. "FZR" marked M14 elevation. Winchester aperture

Front sight - WRA

New CMP wood
Sounds like the early bird got the worm. I was number five in the door and never saw the rifle, but I always try to stay out of the customers way so they have that opportunity to find the hidden gem. Looks like your friend found it. Congratulations on the cool find.

Will do. Glad you find the report useful.

Default Friday opening report

There were ZERO customers in line this morning, but a few came in as I was leaving. The racks were full.

WRA SG 16. A six digit 106,xxx with a SA 65 barrel and leg edging SA 65, mixed parts, but I always like the really early serial numbers!!!

IHC SG 13, FG 6. Checked couple IHC stocks, Julian stamp, 1664/1795/1014.

CMP Specials .308, 7

Six million SA, 6.

Other rifles remain about the same.

Only a few bayonets and slings.

Good luck on your searches

Default Friday closing report

Inventory remains strong. There were 61 rifles remaining of the 75 at opening.

New policy in store for M1 bayonets, there will only be a couple on display and if you want to buy a bayonet tell the store staff and they will get one from the back of store for you....

Store has Eley 5000 rds boxes of .22 for 354.95 and your limited to TWO boxes.

Good luck on your searches.

Default Saturday closing report

Inventory remains strong and there were 59 rifles remaining of the 75 at opening. Store wasn’t restocked at closing but should be restocked before opening on Thursday.

IHC SG/FG 10, WRA SG 9, SA 6 million 6, CMP Specials 6, other rifles remain about the same as Thursday’s opening report.

There were NO M1 bayonets present, only post war available and a few slings.

Good luck on your searches.

IHC SG 1060.00, FG 960.00, SA 6 million 1200.00, all plus 10% tax. All rifles sold by CMP are safe and should be good shooter. FG’s generally will not shoot as well, but every rifle is different.. Good luck.

PH68, I enjoy reading your reports. I was down about two weeks ago and you helped me pick out an IHC LEAD rebuild, my first Garand. Thanks!
