Default Making a Purchase at the Store

I am going to be headed to the store while on a trip to visit a friend. I live in North Carolina. Can you purchase a rifle and take it with you, or does it have to be shipped to an FFL in my state?

Thank you,

Dave

Unless you flew in and can show your ticket, you now have to take your rifle with you.

That is what I want to do, but wasn't sure. I have not bought a firearm out of state before.

Not sure if you are aware and have purchased before, you might want to read the requirements required and be sure you are up to date/current.

Good luck!

The CMP is totally different by charter and congress than any other firearm long gun seller.

Its why you can receive a rifle straight to your house, but if someone on the forum sells one, in almost all instances, you have to have it shipped to an FFL (dealer or you have a C&R or other FFL).

Default CMP Membership Number?

Any idea where that number can be found? I purchased a gun a few years ago, so not sure I have any paperwork.

I was able to purchase because I am a police officer. Still the case, so I am covered there.

I can never remember my Customer Number during in store purchase's and just leave it blank. They will figure it out for you...

Default Customer Number

Thanks - I will try to find it before I go. I have a few weeks until we head that way in January.
