Thanks for the report anyway. Sounds like it's still all dustballs and crickets there.

How were the NS guys doing? (Jim, Mike, Bill & the others).

3 people on duty..... Bob, Jim and Debbie and they are trying to stay warm, just like the rest of us.

Quite a few empty slots in many of the racks. Unless the Korean stuff come thru, I think we are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Appears we will see the Philippines before the Koreans.....

The CMP had to pay DLA to repack the Garands in the Philippines. The wood crates could not be imported due to possible termite infestation. The new containers CMP had to pay for... The rifles had to be cleaned because of dust on the rifles was thought to contain asbestos, which CMP had to pay for. Every rifle now has a "no asbstos" clean bill of health, that CMP had to pay for... The boat had to have maintenance done before leaving the dock, that CMP had to pay for. The boat could not ship anything other than the rifles, so CMP had to pay for the entire boat... The boat is due into port around 10 Jan. 44 trucks later we should be seeing them late Jan at our docks, that CMP paid for...

From what I remember from an old post, it was stated, that there are a limited number of armorer's in Anniston, and it was stated that no additional armorer's/ inspector's/ workers would be hired to handle any overload or backlog to do the work. Unless that has changed, we can expect limited quantities of whatever is next, from wherever, coming out of Anniston and racks may stay bare for a long time. ......

Was there sat around noon. A fair amount of drill rifles to pick from if that’s your thing. About 2 racks of them. Other than that just m1d/c’s and a couple beat m14 stocks. Hopefully the north store sees a truck soon. Was told in store that from what he heard there isn’t going to be much on the truck tho....
