Default Rack grade M1d

Does anyone have a picture of what to expect? Just curious if they will be ridden hard. I expect it to be, but would like to see if any others have recently picked one of these up?

I myself would shy away from a rack grade M1D simply because the barrel is the most important part of what makes it a M1D, and if that is in bad shape...

I purchased a Rack Grade M1D from the South Store. It was a Win13.

Ended up replacing the barrel with a good one with SG numbers and great bore. Purchased outstanding M1D wood for it and only need to send it for refinishing.

Only justifiable reason for the money in it is that it ends up being a very nice Win13 M1D.

The above might be a fairly typical experience with them, unless you are extremely lucky.

I hope that since it is mail order they pick one of the nicer ones.
Many on here would like to see what it looks like once you have it.

Yes, many would like to see it- but hopefully they don't think they could get a rifle in similar condition (either way).

I can't get the time off work to make a trip to the store, so mail order is my only option.

I wouldn't trust to luck with a rack grade. Lowest I left to chance was a field grade "C".
