Between 10/23/18 and 10/29/18 to either Greenville Piers, NJ or Bush Terminal, Brooklyn.

With RR and USS I can only tell you month and year, not a specific date or destination.

For Ithaca it's a crap shoot; sometimes you get lucky and find the specific shipping record but sometimes nothing.

I would like to play also.

Please check Colt #2281740.

Also, any info on RR #1440378.

The RR comes with a story. It is like new and came with three magazines ( one a commercial Colt) and six EC 43 cartridges. It was issued to a guy who was in the OSS. He was re-assigned and tried to turn it in to the OSS but nobody wanted it. When he left the army, nobody wanted the pistol and he was told to take it home.

I was not so lucky when I left the army.

Thank you.

Thanks, just what I wanted to hear. I acquired it from a gentleman in San Antonio who claimed it had been issued to his grandfather in the Texas National Guard for use in the Punitive Expedition. Might be some truth to his story. Is there a way to get any other information from the Army?

Shipped April 1944. That's about all we can say.

That's awesome. Other than an SRS hit, not sure what else you could find to prove the story.

Hard to say for sure but probably some time between 10/29/18 and 11/11/18, most likely to either Bush Terminal or Greenville Piers in one of three major shipments.

I'm assuming most guns made then were being shipped to east coast ports in anticipation of arming troops heading to Europe. Where they actually ended up after the armistice is anyone's guess.
