Selling my 1918 Colt 1911 Black Army pistol, serial # 5205xx. Pistol is in VG condition overall, with original finish and parts. Bore is slightly dark with some minor speckling, but appears in very good condition with no major pitting. Rifling and muzzle appear VG. Finish is pretty thin. I'm told that the original Black Army finish tended to wear/flake off, and that given the condition of this finish, some GI probably "scrubbed" the finish to get rid of the loose stuff.
I'm far from an expert on these, but from what I can determine from Clawson's book and questions on the forums, this pistol appears to be correct, and likely original. I will include a GI pistol belt and holster, along with (1) original two-tone finish mag with the pistol.
