I did!
I found a low, six digit serial(...June of 1941) Service Grade WRA M1D with great barrel numbers that went home with me. I also enjoyed fondling several of those WWII rifles. Just WOW! Melissa, the fellas behind the counter and the opening crowd were a great bunch. Lots of great stories, jokes and wise cracks! I really enjoyed my first visit to the North Store! It was great meeting you, Winnie! |

Does anyone know the ammo situation at the north store?

They had corrosive Norwegian spam cans, not sure how many. They also had loose HXP in Ammo cans and the boxed HXP in the new plastic cans.

KUDOS to the CMP. I got my reproduction M82 and mount today. Apparently, they have the problem with the mount resolved. Unlike the mount I got last May, this one hand tightened effortlessly and seems to be rock solid.
I hand rubbed two coats of raw linseed oil onto the stock. It looks really nice; but, it could still use more coats. I still need the cheek pad. I have a cheap one; but, I think I'm going to order one from Turner Leather. Any way, here is a tease... ![]() |

Looks great, thanks for the scope report. I have an email in to Turner for a pad.
