Mr. Ball was the very definition of "gentleman". He assisted me in picking out my carbines and directed me in the best deal for ammo during my last visit to the CMP. I will be thinking of George when I fire my carbines. Feeling a little sad right now but I dont think George would want that from us. Rest easy George.

My thoughts exactly Norad. I only met George once but he was truly a Gentleman in the best sense of the word. In a world were young & old alike seem to think that manners equal weakness, that courtesy means one should be taken advantage of & that somehow agression means dignity a man like George who had true manners, courtesy & dignity will be sorely missed. Rest well George & know that you will be remembered for all the good reasons.

I last saw George 2 days before starting an illness I had no idea was coming. 30 days in ICU and now going on 7 months of trying to get better. Not one day has passed that I have not thought of the CMP , George, and others I do not know by name at the N store, and the addictive interest the M1 Garand has helped with, to "re-focus" attention away from the illness. George helped pick out the first, second and third Garands, and a beauty of a Carbine. I cannot believe he is gone. I will continue to think of George Ball every time I fire a round in any of my CMP rifles. Thanks George.....

Default George we will miss you & always remember you.

George definitely left a mark in this world and struck a chord with many. He was a man that I always looked forward to seeing. If this country had a congress of men like George, think where we would be now!

Rest easy George, you have earned it!
