Leon said they are holding a GSM 3 relay match on Saturday. He assured me it's on the CMP site (but couldn't find it yet).

Dang it! Gonna miss another fun filled match due to deployment. Not over seas this time, just down at Tyndall AFB for a couple weeks. 283 more days till retirement.

To add to Shane's post:

Don Rutherford text’ed me and asked that I post this info. Saturday April 2nd they will have a match at Talladega Marksmanship Park. First round downrange around 9:30. This match will be laid back and low stress. Emphasis will be on new/beginner shooters. There will be 3 relays. The first 2 relays will be GSM type “wood guns” like the Garand, 1917, 03, etc. The 3rd relay is pretty much whatever you feel like shooting. He said National Match guns (like out SR’s) are ok. Shooting for the 3rd relay can be the 200/300/600 distances (if that’s what everyone decides to do). He mentioned maybe a 10rd match w/ 2 sighters at 600yds.

I’m not sure of the cost but feel it won’t be much for a fun day of shooting. CMP pins will be issued. This is all the info I have. If you have any more questions I guess you could call TMP and ask Sara. Sounds like a good time to me….!

13 +/- showed up to shoot 2 GSMM relays and 3rd relay was a 300 yard slow prone JCG improvised match.

Weather was nice n breezy, doughnuts eaten and BS slung.

Thanks to all 3 Rutherfords for a fun day at the range.
