By chance have you heard back from them?

I have amiably resolved the issue. I have great respect and faith in the manufacturer and the concern they expressed.

Don't expose yourself to a known hazard. Your safety is in your hands.

A guy from a local Message board just blew up his M1 with Atomic ammo. I'm going to send him this thread.

Hopefully he can resolve this as well.

It appears your situation has been resolved and I'm happy for you!
Was there any mention from your contact that this was/is a known situation with their ammo?
Are they willing to accept returns of unused ammo?

I dealt with my issue and don't have any other opinion about manufacturers response or responsibility.

Pull them, shoot them, peddle them. It's your decision and you are aware of the risk potential.

My identically ruptured case was LC 09, so I'm guessing it's not a lot issue. I've pulled about 200 of these apart and they range from 41.1 to 42 grains powder.

Default Atomic .308 Ammo

Gentlemen, I have a friend has about 600 rds of the Atomic .308 ammo that was sold by the CMP some time ago. It was loaded into what appears to be once fired LC cases. He is nervous to shoot it since there have been reports of serious case ruptures with this ammo. What is the consensus of opinion on this ammo? Thanks! Rick

There was some QC problems. I know of, or suspect an M1A suffered a case failure at the Western Games during its short sale history at the CMP.

My opinion would be to possibly reach out to CMP senior management to get some product history. They may replace it? They may have in the past. This is not a reflection on them, but the ammunition maker.
