PH68’s resignation from store reports

I have provided store reports for about 6 years but I want to notify the membership that I no longer will provide them. I believe that some leadership within the CMP doesn’t want me to have any insight on inventory at any store because I would share it with the membership. It has became to hard to provide any useful information on inventory due to these hurdles. If I happen to be in the store I will share information but have no plans at this time to return to timely store reporting. Good luck on your searches.

It’s just not fun anymore and to many hurdles. It’s really sad because I know lots of folks make their trips based upon my reporting.

That is very unfortunate. I am too far away to benefit from your reports but I appreciate your effort. I am disappointed to hear that someone would want to provide you with hurdles when I see your efforts to be pretty benign. If anything, maybe it brought more into the store. What do I know. Carry on.

Frankly I don't understand why the store staff is not allowed to comment on inventory over the phone, even generically. I don't expect them to rattle off chapter and verse on exactly what and how many grades are in the racks to every Tom, Dick and Harriet who calls all day long, but a simple "yes we have a couple racks full or no we don't" would likely suffice for me to decide if the drive is worth it.
