    Lined out Underwood

Bought a DCM carbine today with hang tag "suitable for NRA sale" in shipping box from RRA. It is a lined out Underwood with N on receiver for National Postal Meter. I have never had one of these before. How rare and value? Has Buffalo arms barrel and late features with mixed parts. Shipped 5-25-65 REA Express with declared value of $20.00. Yes, I paid more than that. Seller threw in 3 new WW2 mags. Stuff still does surface at gun shows!

According to war baby, there were 7500 Underwood line outs to NPM, so a pretty rare find. Need pics before we can even think about giving you a value

I got a Underwood line out Winchester, I traded a garand built from a C-grade receiver ($550 invested in garand) It is a wonderful specimen.

That is a very nice variation to acquire. The fact you also have the old DCM shipping box and some paperwork is an added plus. Would like to see some pictures when you get a chance.

        Nice find.
