Default M52B Sporter

I am in need of a barrel tensioning screw and whatever assembly is in the dove tail on the bottom of the barrel that applies the tension. I checked the internet usual sources to no avail. It is a Winchester made in Japan. Any help on this issue? Thanks Ed

Numrich Gunparts;

Browning and Winchester both offered the Miruku "52". Winchester called theirs a 52B and Browning called it a 52C. Both are closer to the original model 52C. I have the Browning and it's a fine rifle indeed.

Presidentg again you are the man. I checked Gun Parts earlier not remembering that Winchester and Browning all marketed the gun in one way or another but they were manufactured by the Japanese company Miruku.

Tried again any there they were. Same thing happened to me once before concerning Anschutz and Savage/Anschutz parts for similar model numbers.

Thanks.

Default IIRC (and that's up for grabs), . . .

Midwest Gun Works lists Browning parts for their M52.

Question just curious

OP, I don't understand what parts you are looking for.
Are they shown on the drawing on the Midwest Gun Works site?

jmm, they are not shown because they are not shown there. Why? Ask Midwest Gun Parts.

The drawing for Midwest looks like a cleaner copy of the one on Numrich.
Go figure.
I have a Winchester 52B, and it doesn't have anything like what you are describing. I was wondering what it is, maybe a modification?

Not a modification it came that way new. Winchester, Browning, Miroku all the same thing pretty much as far as this reissue of a classic goes. Mine happens to be an earlier model, 1992 or so.

MGP drawing is cleaner but the supporting detail to order from is not there. Numrich has it if you know what your looking for. In fact they have a standard and a heavy barrel variety with appropriate screws for the tensioning.

My 52C heavy barrel has a band around the barrel but the 52B in question does not. It has a dove tail cut out of the barrel bottom for the stud to fit into in which the screw goes after it passes through the under side of the stock.

Not to hard to fabricate using a machine screw and a slip nut but job not correct for me.
